HOME HAZARD ASSESSMENT

A home fire hazard assessment is a systematic evaluation of a building to identify potential fire risks,

assess the likelihood of a fire, and determine who might be at risk.

It involves evaluating fire hazards, assessing current fire safety measures,

and developing a plan to mitigate risks.

This assessment is available to any property with

FINAL OCCUPANCY* and is located in the Wildland Urban Interface.

*If the property is under construction, there will be numerous violations requiring a follow up assessment to pass.

This is NOT part of the official House Bill 48 assessment program.

There is not yet an official program from the Utah Division of Forestry, Fire and State Lands.
